The Democratic Republic of Manus Adamas is a planet with roots in the traditional values of Cyte, but now functions somewhat broken and divided. Much of early Manus Adamas history is lost, although hints and hopes are still present for a collaborative and productive society.
Approximately 180 years ago, a significant environmental event of unknown origin, known as the Cataclysm, forced the humans of Manus Adamas underground, with significant life lost in the process, and turned all robots off, an unexpected consequence for which no plans were made.
Gradually, the humans have adapted to life underground, as it's still inhospitable for prolonged periods on the surface. As things settled, work was done to bring some robots back online, who are able to survive and thrive on the surface.
The population is content but divided. The humans are wary of the robots who have close to free reign 'upstairs', whereas the robots are uneasy that the process of bringing them back online hinged on the humans. It isn't openly hostile but is uncomfortable. A factor that unites everyone across the planet is that the Cataclysm needs to be better understood, a recurrence prevented and Manus Adamas to prosper out of the difficulties of recent history.

NEST: The largest human settlement, rooted in the underground system of a major city - humans based in NEST tend to live communally.
Mesa Majora Interchange: Post Cataclysm, subterranean veins opened and huge geological pillars arose from the surface. The largest of these mesas was designated Majora. Now a layered transport hub sits within - hangers atop monorails atop haulage lanes atop extraction conveyors.
3rd Street: The 3rd structure built by the robots after they were brought online - the Central Stock Exchange. Originally a single building, it is now one of the largest constructions on the planet. 2nd and 4th Streets had Designated Purposes, so the logical thing was build Up. As a result, 3rd Street may qualify as the lowest surface footprint Megacity.
